2. Placement of the Camera
For optimal performance, please follow these guidelines:
Distance and Angle
-
Distance from the Door: Place the camera within 3-7 meters of the door.
-
Camera Angle: The camera should have an angle between 20 and 60 degrees.
- Avoid angles under 30 degrees or a completely horizontal placement, as this can lead to people obscuring each other and affect data accuracy.
- Minimum angle: Should be 80% of the ceiling height (e.g., 3.2 meters for a ceiling height of 4 meters).
Angle Towards the Door
- Always angle the camera towards the door, not straight ahead. This prevents shorter individuals from becoming invisible if they walk in front of taller individuals.
Handling Doors and Obstacles
-
Standard Door (not automatic sliding door)
- Angle the camera towards the side where the door opens to avoid the door blocking the view.
- Place the camera on the correct side of the door so it doesn't obscure the view when opened.
-
Unexpected Objects in the Way
- Be attentive to obstacles such as ceiling lights, signs, or doors.
- Adjust the placement to ensure a clear view.
- Ask the staff if there is anything that might affect the camera's view at other times of the day.
Example of Unexpected Objects in the Way
3. Examples of Good and Bad Installations
Good Placements
- The camera is angled towards the side where the door opens.
- Individuals are clearly visible thanks to correct angle and placement.
Examples of good placements:
Bad Placements
- The camera is placed straight towards the door and too far from it.
- Too low angle: Under 30 degrees or completely horizontal, which affects data accuracy.
Examples of bad placements:
4. Connection of the Camera
There are three ways to connect the camera. Check the order to see which method should be used.
A) Connection with Mobile Router with SIM
-
Preparations
- The router is pre-configured to our cloud service.
- The router is pre-configured to our cloud service.
-
Steps for Connection
- Mount the camera at the desired location.
- Run a PoE cable (Power over Ethernet) to the supplied switch.
- Connect the switch to the router.
- Connect power to the switch and router.
-
Placement of the Router
- Place the router where there is good mobile coverage (not in a basement). The best coverage is usually near the entrance or a window.
- Tip: Check the coverage with a mobile phone by looking at the signal bars.
-
Conditions for Installation
- Easy installation since the router can be placed near the camera and has its own internet (4G), minimizing the need for long cables.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The CCTV mode on the switch must be TURNED OFF
The CCTV mode is intended for camera installations with very long cable distances and reduces bandwidth to compensate for this. If this mode is activated at normal distances, it can cause intermittent issues with the video stream, such as delays or interruptions.
- Action: Always ensure that the CCTV mode on the switch is TURNED OFF before completing the installation to ensure stable and reliable operation for the customer.

10. Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do the cameras need to be recorded on a Network Video Recorder (NVR) for the system to work
- Answer: An NVR is only necessary in two cases:
- If it is an analog camera and you need to convert the image to digital.
- If you want to use the cameras as security cameras and record the video stream to review the material afterward.
