This release introduces the Unique Visitors algorithm for more accurate visitor behaviour tracking, an updated quality assurance process with automatic anonymization, Google Opening Hours integration for smarter uptime monitoring, and camera checks running 10 times more frequently.
Check out what's new:
Dashboard
- Unique Visitors algorithm. The new Unique Visitors model is live in the Cross Visitation and Cross Conversion widgets, with more widgets to follow. Unlike visit counts, unique visitors give a more accurate picture of behaviour, particularly in environments like malls, airports, and multi-department stores where the same visitor may cross multiple zones.
- Updated quality assurance process. QA data is now fully anonymized automatically. QA no longer opens extra camera connections, keeping bandwidth usage low for locations with limited capacity. Error handling has been improved for more reliable operations, and additional QA processes are now automated, laying the groundwork for QA tracking and management directly from the platform.
- New login and profile page. A new login and profile page has been introduced as part of moving away from the legacy platform, offering a more modern and streamlined experience.
Settings
- Google Opening Hours integration. Google Opening Hours is now connected to all locations. The system uses this data to align data gathering with actual opening times and to distinguish between genuine downtime and planned closures such as public holidays or temporary shutdowns. An option to start data gathering earlier or later will be available soon through Location Settings.
Stability and Performance
- More frequent camera monitoring. Camera availability is now checked 10 times more often than before, allowing issues to be detected and resolved faster. This is a step towards the upcoming System Dashboard where you will be able to track everything in one place.
- Automatic aspect ratio handling. The system now handles any camera aspect ratio automatically. Previously, aspect ratio conversion required manual steps and could affect accuracy. No extra configuration is needed.
Maintenance
- The legacy dashboard has been retired. The new dashboard at app.indivd.com is now the default for all users. Login details and the URL are unchanged.
- Fixed an issue where snapshots sometimes failed to upload correctly.
