This is the Summer Break release, the most comprehensive update to date. It introduces a new System Dashboard with live visibility into camera connections and stream quality, a global location filter that updates all widgets at once, new user management in Settings, and a set of upcoming features including max dwell time exclusion and zone crowdedness thresholds.
Check out what's new:
Dashboard
- System Dashboard. A new dashboard gives you live visibility into services, processes, pipelines, camera connections, and stream quality. Segment by location, zone, or camera and compare across time periods to spot issues faster. Three metrics are tracked: system uptime (core platform services), camera uptime (connection between your cameras and the cloud), and camera FPS (stream quality, which affects data reliability). Each metric is color-coded: green means everything is as expected, yellow is a warning threshold, and red means the issue will affect data reliability and needs to be resolved.
- Global location filter. Select a location once and all widgets update automatically. You can still adjust individual widgets when needed, saving time without losing flexibility.
- Restructured menu. Widgets have been reorganized to make it easier to find what you need depending on what you want to understand or evaluate. This also lays the foundation for new widgets arriving this autumn, including demographics, funnel analysis, ideal visitor segmentation, and qualified visitor dashboards.
- Historical bounce rate data. The bounce rate widget now supports historical data. Select a time period to view bounce rate over time and the average, consistent with how drop-in rate already works.
- Location-specific zone filter. When you select a location in a widget, only zones relevant to that location are shown. Filtering is faster and there is no noise from irrelevant zones.
- Enhanced Excel export formatting. Duration fields now display in minutes and seconds, with raw values in seconds for deeper analysis. Date fields are also better formatted for easier handling.
- Expanded public API. The API now includes secondary zones and custom IDs for cameras, locations, lines, and zones, making integrations with external systems more precise and reliable.
Settings
- User management. Admins can now create and manage users directly in the platform. You can subscribe users to an organization or country so they automatically receive the correct permissions for all future locations, reducing manual setup.
- Max dwell time exclusion. A setting to exclude abnormally long visit durations from all dashboard data has been added. The feature is not yet active but will improve KPI accuracy by removing extreme outliers when it rolls out.
- Zone crowdedness thresholds. A new threshold setting for zone crowdedness is now available. This will power heat maps showing how crowded zones are by the hour and how that affects engagement and sales.
- Drop-in rate line exclusions. For locations with multiple entrances or floors, you can now include or exclude specific lines when configuring drop-in relationships in People Counter edit. This gives you precise control over what is measured.
Maintenance
- Fixed a Cross Conversion issue where visitors who visited both zones were incorrectly excluded.
- Added subtle UI improvements including loaders and better line wrapping.
- Improved infrastructure stability to handle unexpected incidents such as service restarts.
- Server metrics and uptime are now tracked to the minute, collected centrally for SLA reports, the System Dashboard, and future gap-filling features.
- Performance improvements in Settings and Administration: working with cameras, zones, and lines is now faster.
- Fixed camera sorting so Camera 1, Camera 2, Camera 10 display in the correct order.
- Fixed an issue where Google addresses were not saved correctly on location creation.
- Resolved a cache bug where changes to location settings were not immediately visible.
- Improved context menus in People Counter edit: disabled options now show tooltips and selected options are highlighted.
- After changing an organization's currency, zones now reload automatically with the updated value.
- Widgets now display clearer messages when there is insufficient data.
- Fixed a bug causing the screen to jump to the top when filters were changed.
- Long or multiple filter names are now displayed neatly without overlap.
- Fixed an issue in People Counter edit where zones and lines could appear under the wrong camera or duplicate across cameras.
