Purpose
This policy outlines the ethical principles guiding Indivd's AI development and business practices.
Background
To gain public trust in AI, it is important to respect privacy and ensure that decisions made by automated systems are impartial and ethically balanced. That's why Indivd has implemented ethical guidelines.
Indivd fully endorses the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the European Convention on Human Rights, and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. We aim to meet the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and ensure AI benefits the entire community, beyond commercial interests.
Scope
This policy applies to everyone involved with Indivd's services, including the board of directors, employees, consultants, customers, and partners.
Our Promises
Information
We strive to ensure that customers, partners, society, and others associated with our services are informed about AI's impact on society. This includes being aware of AI's risks and consequences. All communications about AI should be balanced and factual.
Transparency
We comply with Data Protection Regulations by openly explaining:
- The areas we work in
- The purpose of our services
- How our services can be used
- How we use and handle data
- We provide clear explanations about our services' purposes, the problems they solve, the data collected, how the services operate, and data management practices. We also specify the conditions under which our algorithms are intended to work.
Responsibility and Control
We clarify who is responsible for and controls our services, and the division of responsibilities between supplier and customer. We recognize that unintended consequences can occur, so risk management is crucial. In the event of an incident, we will analyze it immediately, identify measures to limit damage, and prepare to prevent future occurrences.
Security and Integrity
We ensure a clear division of responsibilities for security functions as part of our overall service responsibility. We educate our customers and suppliers on risks and implications and maintain a high level of expertise in AI security.
